Ok, I have now run out of excuses, too tired, too cold… :-(.
Running outside does not seem to be an option any longer, so it is back to the gym, as difficult as it is going to be. Tried to delay it, but time is running out now. I just don’t understand why I am so demotivated at this stage – I know what I need to do. Why is it so difficult to start! I know, once I get into the morning programme again it will actually just be become easier.
Quote of the day
“Training is principally an act of faith. The athlete must believe in its efficacy; he must believe that through training he will become fitter and stronger; that by constant repetition of the same movements he will become more skillful and his muscles more relaxed.” Franz Stampfl, On Running
I know!! Its so cold outside and even going to gym seems like so much effort!! I am trying to push myself now, really keen to do the half 2 Oceans next year but I am totally new to the sport, so it will take me a while to get really fit and ready..
Good, just start…that is the hard part – after that it will be easier than you think!
